Students from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TARUMT) Penang recently spent a meaningful day with our Lighthouse clients as part of their Service Learning subject — a programme that bridges classroom knowledge with real-world community impact.
As part of the curriculum, students are required to design and implement a community-based project aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), putting purpose at the heart of their learning journey.
During the session, the students led simple hand and body exercises to help our clients stay active and energised. Clients also enjoyed learning how to make a hand-woven paper basket — a fun, hands-on activity that encouraged creativity and lively interaction among everyone present.
